The Honeybees are a brief short-lived pop group formed by Ginger, Mary Ann and Mrs. Howell in an effort to become a side act with the Mosquitoes when they left the island. Backed by the record player, the girls wore matching color-coded outfits. Ginger was tan, Mary Ann was white and Mrs. Howell was blue. Their song, "You Need Us," greatly impressed the Mosquitoes. While the intent of the group was to convince the Mosquitoes they no longer needed to be on the island, they had done their job too well. The Mosquitoes saw them as competition, and left the island in order to ensure the Honeybees would never flourish.
