Bio

The San Diego Telephone Operator is a random contact Gilligan and Mary Ann reached on a telephone cable pulled up on the island by a storm. Thinking they're on a pay phone, she asks them to deposit another nickel, but Mr. Howell can only find a $100 bill. After Gilligan hurriedly tries to tell her their story, the operator calls them kooks and hangs up on them, cutting off the call.

• The Telephone Operator was played by actress Sandra Gould, better known as Mrs. Kravitz on "Bewitched."
