Alice McNeil

Bio

Alice McNeil is a lady pilot who tries circumnavigating the planet in her plane, known as the "Vagabond Lady." Her exploits are broadcast over the radio to the castaways who calculate her flight plane will pass over the island. Alice calls out for anyone near her to talk to her on the radio, and Gilligan briefly speaks to her. Although the Skipper believes their conversation was a dream, Alice confirms it wasn't by buzzing the island and apologizing that their conversation was cut short. Alice signs off her messages with a cheery "Happy Landing!"

• Alice McNeil was played by voice-over actress June Foray, best known as a voice for the "Rocky and Bullwinkle" cartoons among others.
• Alice McNeil was probably loosely based on Amelia Earhart.
