New page

Bio
The Russian Commander is the unseen superior of the unidentified espionage agent known only as The Ghost. Code-named W-9, this officer's full rank is unrevealed, but he is possibly a Russian Captain. His mission is to transport the Ghost to the island and authorize the removal of the Castaways from the island for the off-shore oil rights, but once they realize they have no means of transport, they provide a boat for them, equipped with an explosion to do away with them. Fortunately, the Professor deduces their plan and runs their own scenario against them. However, the ploy doesn't work and the Commander returns with Spy Gilligan with a new mission to interrogate and gather information. Altered by plastic surgery to resemble Gilligan, the spy refers to the Commander as "Commandant" and the Commander calls him "Dumkopf." The Spy replaces Gilligan successfully, but his cover is ruined and the Commander calls the agent back to his ship.

Trivia
* The Russian Commander was voiced by Charles Maxwell, who also played the voice on the radio, and by Henry Corden, best known as the voice of Fred Flintstone and for appearances in numerous Sixties TV series like "Hogan's Heroes."
* "Commandant" and "dumkopf" are both German terms and would not be used by Russian espionage agents.

Episode(s)
* Ghost a Go-Go - voice only (unconfirmed)
* Gilligan vs. Gilligan - voice only
